Almost there...

Hey! Welcome to my site. My debut novel, SURGE, will be published on December 15th.

Writing a book isn’t like baking a batch of cookies. The final product is really great, but it takes months and months of work. When I began, I’d never written more than 20 pages of anything. It was a little overwhelming when I hit page 100, but the story continued to flow.

My advice to anyone who wants to be a writer: just do it. Write about anything. If you don’t want to start with an 80,000-word novel, then write a short story, or a song, or a poem. I kept a journal for years, and I always liked writing letters. Not e-mails or text messages. Letters. You know, with a stamp and a mail box.

Most importantly, write for yourself – and have fun!
